Adelphi's cutting-edge Master of Science (M.S.) program with a biotechnology specialization equips students for thriving careers in this fast-growing field. The program emphasizes essential skills in lab safety, research ethics, and modern instrumentation methods, complemented by a mandatory internship for practical industry exposure.
Prospective biotechnology students must first gain admission to the biology M.S. program through standard procedures and complete 12 graduate credits before applying for the specialization through the Graduate Academic Affairs Committee. Current biology M.S. students can explore biotechnology through introductory courses (excluding business components) to assess their interest in the concentration.
The program offers both thesis and non-thesis academic pathways.
