To earn an M.B.A., students must complete between 33 and 51 credits of coursework in business core and elective subjects, with the exact number depending on their previous academic preparation. The program offers both full-time and part-time enrollment options. The Willumstad School of Business's Graduate Programs Office assesses each applicant's educational history to potentially waive certain prerequisite and foundation courses, thereby decreasing the total credits needed for graduation. For course waivers, equivalent classes must have been taken within the last 5-7 years with a minimum grade of B. This adaptable approach supports learners from diverse educational backgrounds, including those holding advanced degrees who wish to pursue graduate business studies. New students should consult with the MBA Program Director in Hagedorn Hall, Room 121, early in their first semester to discuss potential course exemptions.
