The BFA program in costume design prepares emerging artisans and designers by equipping them with essential technical abilities and hands-on experience in live production settings. Through a comprehensive sewing curriculum paired with specialized design classes, graduates will be qualified for various roles across theater and film industries. Participants will gain practical experience by designing for stage productions, working alongside directors, fellow creatives, and performers to develop costumes that enhance the storytelling. Upon completion, every student will possess a professional portfolio demonstrating their expertise in garment creation and specialized accessories such as jewelry and hat-making.

Qualification Requirements
Official high school transcripts and diploma. College transcripts (if applicable) must show the classes/subject, grades, credits, and number of hours completed for each class. You may submit your application for admission before taking the test. You are not required to submit a TOEFL or IELTS score, however, you will be given a placement exam upon arrival at the Academy of Art University if you have not taken the TOEFL or IELTS.
