Our criminology program explores compelling questions about criminal behavior, its societal impacts, historical legal milestones, and landmark cases that transformed the justice system.
Students will:
Investigate criminology through multiple lenses - social, political, and psychological - with emphasis on contemporary policing techniques, policy formation, and court operations.
Analyze criminal legislation and the functions of modern justice system agencies.
Participate in field trips to various criminal justice facilities.
Access diverse volunteer placement options.
Be taught by research-focused faculty with practical justice system experience in fields like juvenile justice, corrections, homelessness, counterterrorism, and addiction.
