Our team conducts diverse empirical studies that enhance and guide nursing and midwifery care quality across the NHS and other healthcare providers. Our work examines patient and service user perspectives, assesses healthcare interventions, advances clinical practices like advanced nursing roles, and investigates maternal-child health alongside family and caregiver experiences. We also specialize in methodological research, particularly qualitative evidence synthesis.
Key focus areas in our nursing and midwifery research currently include:
Men's health
End-of-life care
Advanced clinical practice
Education and teaching methods
Maternity care services.
Additionally, our research bridges nursing/midwifery with other departmental specialties, exploring intersections with cancer treatment, mental health services, population health, cardiac recovery programs, and clinical trial assessments.
