Biological studies are essential for building a sustainable tomorrow. Our cross-disciplinary work addresses three key worldwide issues: health and disease, sustainable agriculture and energy, and environmental shifts.
Our postgraduate students actively participate in every phase of our research. Regardless of your biological specialization, you'll collaborate with leading experts in their disciplines, pushing the boundaries of scientific discovery. Doctoral dissertations may extend to 80,000 words and must present significant novel insights to scientific understanding.
Master's theses can reach 60,000 words and should demonstrate broad familiarity with the subject area, in-depth expertise in specific aspects, and a distinct original contribution to knowledge.
Both dissertation types undergo evaluation by internal and external reviewers who provide feedback and may request revisions. Candidates must complete a final oral defense, called a viva, within three months of thesis submission.
