We invite applications for MPhil and PhD research programs in Medical Education
Worcester's research capabilities have expanded considerably in recent times. Our focus is on generating impactful research that addresses contemporary societal needs while shaping national discussions. We're committed to cultivating emerging fields of expertise while maintaining our reputation for world-class research in established areas.
Upon receiving your application, we assess our capacity to provide appropriate supervision and assemble a dedicated team for your project. This typically includes a Director of Studies (DoS) as your primary supervisor, along with at least one additional supervisor to offer comprehensive guidance throughout your academic journey.
All candidates participate in our comprehensive Researcher Development Programme (RDP). This initiative equips you with essential research skills - both general and specialized - needed to successfully complete your degree and become a proficient researcher. The RDP features themed clusters comprising modules and workshops, delivered either in-person by university experts and our dedicated development team, or digitally through our online learning platform.
As an integral component of the RDP, you'll undertake a Postgraduate Certificate in Research Methods (PG Cert). This mandatory qualification is required for progression in your MPhil/PhD program. The PG Cert emphasizes practical research development, beginning with identifying your training requirements and preparing you for the systematic planning and execution of your research project.
