The Secondary Education PGCE is structured to qualify graduates for Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - the essential certification for teaching in state-maintained schools.
The Physical Education with Biology program cultivates reflective educators capable of meeting students' needs through comprehensive PE instruction. We strive to motivate young people toward physical literacy and activity by delivering excellent PE opportunities. Additionally, you'll gain expertise to teach Biology as a secondary subject. Trainees will master teaching both PE and Biology to students aged 11-16, with extensions covering primary and post-16 levels. Your training will combine university-based learning and practical school experience to build teaching competencies.

To have achieved grade C or above at A Level Biology
To have achieved a standard equivalent to a grade 4 previously Grade C in the GCSE examinations in English and Mathematics
