The program is thoughtfully structured, helping me deepen my knowledge across numerous subjects I hadn't explored before. Its dynamic curriculum addresses current developments in criminal justice, with instruction from leading specialists. Guest speakers offer valuable insights into both public and private sector organizations for potential volunteering and career opportunities.
This Master's program provides an in-depth examination of comparative criminology's diverse elements, including modern justice systems, societal harms, violence, oppression, prison systems and reforms, international policing, and ongoing debates in criminal justice. You'll explore these subjects thoroughly under the guidance of tutors with specialized expertise in these areas.
To complete the program, you'll conduct independent research culminating in a 15,000-word dissertation focused on one or more course topics. You'll receive support from both your assigned supervisor and the Research Methods core module, which you'll complete before starting your research project.
