Safeguarding public health serves as the foundational principle guiding Environmental Health Practitioners (EHPs) in their diverse responsibilities. These range from examining foodborne illness incidents and workplace accidents to tackling noise disturbances, housing concerns, and environmental contamination. The Degree Apprenticeship equips you with comprehensive skills and awareness to handle various challenges while collaborating with teams to execute impactful initiatives. Throughout the program, you'll receive guidance from both your employer and dedicated tutors and skills coaches. The curriculum blends workplace training, fieldwork, project oversight, on-the-spot judgment calls, client management, and interactions with communities and businesses. Combining professional and theoretical components, this apprenticeship culminates in a BSc (Hons) Environmental Health degree. For this apprenticeship programme we require applicants to have achieved one of the following admissions conditions
We also accept Level 3 qualifications that are equivalent in depth to those listed above for example the Level 3 Apprenticeship in Environmental Health or related subject area, if you are unsure if your previous qualifications are acceptable, please register your interest and we will be able to confirm if you are suitable for this course.
English and Maths:
All Applicants who have not yet achieved GCSE English Language and Maths at Grade 4 or above or an approved equivalent will be required to achieve these qualifications prior to taking the end-point assessment of your apprenticeship. At the University of Wolverhampton, we will enrol you free of charge on Functional Skill English and Maths at Level 2 to ensure you are able to achieve your apprenticeship qualification.
 
IELTS: Overall Score of 6.0 with no component less than 5.5; TOEFL: Overall Score of 60 with no component score less than 20; Pearson Test of English: Overall Score of 59 with no component score less than 59.
