This three-year Bachelor's program in Primary Education delivers exceptional training for aspiring teachers in the primary school system. The curriculum aligns with the Department for Education's official standards for Initial Teacher Training programs.
Throughout the three years, students will engage in academic studies at Walsall Campus while completing a minimum of 120 days (24 weeks) of practical placements across various primary school settings for children aged 5-11.
A dedicated team of university tutors provides continuous support, helping students develop reflective teaching practices.
We prioritize securing excellent school placements where students can learn through observation, collaborative teaching, and receiving feedback from seasoned educators. While we consider students' locations when arranging placements, our primary focus remains ensuring high-quality training with diverse experiences. Some training sessions will occur in partner schools beyond your assigned placement locations. Students receive ongoing guidance from both university tutors and experienced school-based mentors certified by the university.
