This in-depth program spans from initial concept design and narrative development to user interaction and team leadership, equipping you for various roles within the dynamic gaming sector.Why select this programIf you share our enthusiasm for games and are curious about their creation process; and if you aim to hone your abilities to transform concepts into playable experiences, our course will engage you. We'll guide you through all key stages of computer game conception and production. Our program stands out by addressing both the artistic vision and technical execution of game development. You'll participate from brainstorming sessions to final product development, working solo or collaboratively.What makes our curriculum unique is its emphasis on creative thinking, originality, sketching, design principles, analytical reasoning, troubleshooting, and gaming enthusiasm. You'll utilize professional-grade software tools, engage in programming, and explore gaming hardware—all to realize your imaginative game concepts. The program maintains an equilibrium between theoretical knowledge and hands-on application, as well as between design and implementation.You'll examine game design principles, conduct research, develop concepts, design levels, create characters, model 3D assets, craft environments, produce game audio, and learn animation and interaction design through coding. Your projects may incorporate Virtual Reality and motion capture technologies. During your studies, we'll foster your capacity to critically evaluate both the gaming industry and your personal creations. We'll provide career guidance to help you enter the industry or pursue independent ventures.

Typical entry requirement: 96 UCAS points including a level 3 qualification in Art and Design; A Levels - grades CCC / BCD; BTEC L3 Extended Diploma or OCR Cambridge L3 Technical Extended Diploma - grades MMM; BTEC L3 Diploma - grades DD; Access to HE Diploma (60 credits) of which a minimum of 45 must be at Level 3 (96 UCAS point equivalence, minimum 45 credits at merit); UAL L3 Extended Diploma in Art and Design or Creative Media Production & Technology - grade M.

 

IELTS: Overall Score of 6.0 with no component less than 5.5; TOEFL: Overall Score of 60 with no component score less than 20; Pearson Test of English: Overall Score of 59 with no component score less than 59.
