This program is tailored for graduates globally who aim to enhance their understanding and expertise in the air transport sector, aspiring to advance into leadership positions within airline management, operations, commercial strategy, airports, government agencies, and aviation-related enterprises like aircraft manufacturing, financial services, and consulting. The curriculum combines rigorous theoretical foundations with practical methodologies and strategic applications. It expands upon the University's popular aviation short courses, which annually draw participants from across the world. The School boasts a rich heritage in aviation education, research, and consulting, established over four decades ago by the distinguished scholar Professor Rigas Doganis. The institution's aviation legacy stretches back even further to the 19th century, when Sir George Cayley first unveiled the fundamentals of flight on these grounds. Both the full-time (one-year) and part-time (two-year) programs deliver modules in intensive five-day blocks. Participants complete six taught modules (within one year for full-time students, or two to three years for part-time students on block release) plus a research dissertation. Between modules, students receive email guidance, tutorial assistance, guest lectures, and workshop opportunities (for full-time attendees).International applicants requiring a student visa must enroll in the one-year full-time option.
