The Centre for Parallel Computing boasts an impressive history of exploring innovative models and creating groundbreaking solutions for cloud computing applications, while driving real-world impact through partnerships with industry and public sector organizations. Meanwhile, the Distributed and Intelligent Systems Research Group specializes in developing smart, extreme-scale platforms with emphasis on performance optimization, energy efficiency, and security, along with logic engineering for autonomous systems and advanced concurrent computing models.
State-of-the-art engineering topics are explored by the Applied Digital Signal Processing and VLSI Research Group and the Wireless Communications Research Group. These teams engage in practical, industry-oriented research and development for systems and subsystems used in next-generation commercial products. Their work spans digital signal and image processing, sensor networks, Internet of Things technologies, as well as components, circuits, and systems for microwave and radio frequency applications, including emerging communication standards like 5G and 6G.
