Our Interior Architecture MA fosters an innovative approach to spatial design, grounded in theoretical concepts and imaginative exploration. These ideas are applied to address current issues and real-world challenges. The program strikes a balance between conceptual thinking and practical application, blending experimentation with academic rigor. Emphasizing human-centered design and contextual awareness, the course cultivates an understanding of users' needs while responding thoughtfully to both physical environments and social settings. Based in the School of Architecture and Cities in central London, you'll learn from faculty engaged in cutting-edge research and professional practice. Our expanding, globally recognized Master's program allows you to carve your own specialization, focusing on pressing contemporary themes. This creates a foundation for both personal growth and professional advancement, yielding varied and dynamic outcomes that reflect our students' creativity and the program's emphasis on bold, design-driven exploration. The MA curriculum is structured around three core areas: theory, technical skills, and design. Theory modules explore foundational concepts of place and site, framing design as cultural practice. You'll hone research and analytical abilities, studying precedents and methodologies. With access to advanced workshops and digital tools, you'll develop technical mastery before undertaking a final project—either a design proposal or written thesis. Guided by critical pedagogy, we encourage a sophisticated synthesis of learning, equipping you with the intellectual and practical tools to navigate an increasingly complex world.
