The Fashion Manufacturing MA tackles contemporary industry obstacles and skill gaps by concentrating on clothing production, systems, sourcing, and manufacturing methods. This research-based, industry-aligned program responds to the changing demands of fashion manufacturing, spanning from design and product creation to cutting-edge production approaches.Created in collaboration with our industry ally, the UK Fashion and Textile Organisation (UKFT), the program seeks to provide you with the understanding and skills to transform conventional fashion manufacturing frameworks. It highlights technological advancements and design for manufacturing, shaping you into a specialist who can pioneer change in the field. You'll also analyze current practices, tackling social, ethical, cultural, and political concerns within fashion's broader landscape.The curriculum investigates emerging production approaches, sophisticated techniques, and provides real-world industry experience, ensuring you're ready for managerial positions. You'll acquire practical abilities in prototype development and clothing manufacture.During the program, you'll utilize cutting-edge industry equipment, specialized software, and learn from experienced instructors, creating an engaging educational setting. This MA combines worldwide perspectives with hands-on knowledge, readying you to excel in the digital fashion sector. It enhances career prospects, entrepreneurial skills, and international awareness, connecting design, commerce, and manufacturing.Alumni will be prepared for executive positions in fashion production, apparel technology, and manufacturing operations.Career Paths:This program prepares you for management careers in both national and global fashion sectors. A minimum of a lower second class honours degree (2:2) or a lower second class honours degree (2:2) and more than 2 years experience compulsory. If your first language is not English you should have an IELTS 6.5 with at least 6.0 in writing and no element below 5.5. TOEFL iBT - 88 overall with a minimum of 17 in Listening, 21 in Writing, 18 in Reading and 20 in Speaking.
