Our Foundation year programs provide a pathway to prepare students for undergraduate studies at the University of Westminster before advancing to complete degree programs.
This option is ideal if you're not quite ready for university-level work, lack traditional qualifications, wish to switch academic focus, or are returning to education after a break. We welcome diverse learners to join our Foundation year as a stepping stone toward their chosen bachelor's degree.
The Art and Design Foundation year serves as an introductory platform to our various creative disciplines, helping you prepare for your selected field. You'll have the chance to discover fresh concepts and engage with important discussions in the art world. The first term focuses on building core artistic skills and experimenting across different mediums within our Foundation curriculum. During the second term, you'll concentrate on your preferred specialization with guidance from program tutors. You'll also have access to our state-of-the-art facilities and learn from expert instructors who foster innovative thinking. Throughout both terms, you'll develop crucial academic abilities alongside your practical work - skills that will prove invaluable as you transition to your full degree program.
