Course overview Our Foundation year degree programs provide preparatory education before advancing to a complete honors degree at the University of Westminster. Ideal if you're not yet ready for degree-level work, lack required qualifications, wish to switch subjects, or are returning to education after a break, these programs welcome diverse students to build foundational knowledge before continuing their honors degree. The Foundation year helps you develop skills for your chosen field while introducing key concepts and current discussions in the discipline. The first term focuses on core Art and Design techniques and hands-on experience across various specialties within our Art and Design Foundation curriculum. During the second term, you'll concentrate on your specific area of interest with guidance from program tutors. Access to advanced facilities and instruction from expert academics fosters creative confidence and critical thinking. Academic skill-building modules run throughout both terms, equipping you with vital competencies for your full degree. After successfully finishing the Foundation year, you'll progress to the three-year Animation BA Honours degree program.
