The Psychology MRes program equips you with advanced research capabilities through specialized instruction, mentorship from active researchers, and independent study. You'll explore contemporary methodologies such as: open science and replication studies, big data and meta-science approaches, and participatory research techniques. The curriculum also cultivates expertise in: open-source programming, ethical and analytical AI applications, autoethnographic and narrative analysis methods, as well as research funding acquisition and knowledge dissemination. This MRes in Psychology offers direct engagement in conducting original, methodologically sound research with meaningful real-world applications and positive societal impact.
You should have an honours degree (2:2 or above) from a UK university or equivalent in psychology or related discipline.  You need to meet our English language requirement of 6.5 overall score for IELTS, with a minimum of 5.5 for each of the 4 individual components (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening).
