Warwick's Education Studies program focuses on three key themes: Learning, Society, and Cultures. These themes bring together scholars who share a passion for educational research, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration within the Department and with external partners. The Department believes educational research should both address practical policy and practice questions while also critically examining education's purpose and future direction, both nationally and internationally. Warwick's Doctorate in Education seeks outstanding candidates dedicated to advancing educational research and pushing boundaries. Education Studies at Warwick ranked 6th nationally in The Times/Sunday Times Good University Guide 2022.
The PhD program combines rigorous research methods training with personalized supervision, culminating in an 80,000-word thesis. This dissertation should represent significant original research with potential for publication in peer-reviewed academic journals.
