Writing is both a career and a calling, as well as a collaborative endeavor. Warwick's MA in Writing immerses you in the professional writing landscape, connecting you with faculty and peers who share your creative aspirations. This program guides you toward establishing yourself as a published author.
Our adaptable MA in Writing welcomes international students and provides two specialization options:

Pathway A (Taught) Full-Time

Four instructional modules (Fiction Workshop 1 or Poetry Writing, along with three additional elective modules, plus mandatory Research for Writing training)

Pathway B (Extended Project) Full-Time

Two instructional modules (Fiction Workshop 1 or Poetry Writing, plus one additional elective module, plus mandatory Research for Writing training) along with an Extended Project module where you develop a substantial creative work in any genre supported by the program. This creative output includes a concise critical analysis.

Admission to the Extended Project pathway requires evaluation of your writing background and a pre-program proposal submission, contingent upon securing an available qualified supervisor(s) to guide you through the spring and summer terms.
