The Master of Arts in Literary Translation Studies is designed for students working with English and at least one additional language. Your second language could be one you've studied academically, inherited culturally, or chosen personally - whether it's widely spoken or less common, contemporary or ancient, from any region globally.
While English fluency isn't required, you should be comfortable translating into English from your other language(s).
This program develops both theoretical understanding of translation and practical translation abilities. Professional literary translators on our faculty will prepare you for the publishing industry if you plan to pursue translation professionally after graduation.
Flexible study options include full-time or part-time enrollment, with special consideration given to the circumstances of part-time students and those balancing other commitments.
