Warwick's Applied Linguistics program provides a distinctive way to study language by using linguistic theories to tackle practical challenges. Our Linguistics with Arabic program helps you develop interdisciplinary expertise based on cutting-edge research in communication and language studies, which you'll then use to analyze, question, and resolve real-world issues.
Combining linguistics with Arabic studies allows you to investigate humanity's remarkable linguistic abilities while achieving proficiency in Arabic. As a linguistics student, you'll examine language structure, its societal roles, and how it functions in human interaction.
The program includes practical training in Arabic speaking and writing, along with broader studies in cross-cultural communication. Your growing expertise in linguistic analysis will enhance your Arabic studies, while your Arabic knowledge will enrich your work in linguistics. This dual-focused degree prepares you for diverse careers that demand both language proficiency and a sophisticated grasp of communication across cultures.
