Our Law with Humanities (BA) program allows you to explore legal studies while broadening your understanding of humanities disciplines.
Legal practices increasingly value graduates with diverse academic backgrounds beyond pure law, making our alumni particularly sought-after. You'll develop essential research, writing, presentation, and debate skills applicable to both legal and humanities fields, preparing you for various professional environments.
While analyzing legal cases and legislation, you'll investigate how economic, cultural, and political shifts influence law and its societal impact outside judicial settings. Drawing from our robust research expertise, the program offers elective options across multiple disciplines including Classics, Literature, Media Studies, History, Art History, Performing Arts, Modern Languages, and Philosophy.
The first year focuses on fundamental legal principles, with increasing humanities course options in later years. You'll cultivate an interdisciplinary legal perspective by dedicating approximately 75% of your studies to law modules, with the remaining 25% allocated to humanities electives from our Arts Faculty departments.
