Our research spans diverse domains within both theoretical and applied mathematics. During your PhD studies, you'll receive mentorship from our specialists in key fields including: analysis and partial differential equations, geometry and topology, mathematical physics, mathematical biology, numerical analysis and scientific computing, probability and statistics.
We offer both PhD and MPhil study options, which vary in duration and research scope.
A PhD requires you to produce significant original contributions to knowledge in your selected discipline.
An MPhil involves independent research with a narrower focus than a PhD, culminating in a Master of Philosophy degree. There may be opportunities to transition from an MPhil to a PhD program during your studies.
