Spanning from Medieval and Renaissance texts through the 18th century to modern times, covering genres from novels to poetry and movements from modernism to postmodernism and contemporary works, we maintain a deep dedication to cross-disciplinary literary studies. Our English Language and Literature research achieved outstanding results, with 98% judged as world-leading, internationally excellent, or internationally recognized for its innovation, importance, and academic rigor (REF 2014). As one of the nation's largest graduate programs, we host over 200 students and more than 50 faculty members.
