Global enterprises must swiftly address issues related to social and environmental consequences. Corporations worldwide are becoming more engaged with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), while maintaining the crucial requirement to deliver financial results for investors.
In this MSc program, you'll examine how the micro-level foundations, economic actions, and policies of global enterprises connect to their effects on sustainability and development. Using the SDGs framework and policies as your perspective, you'll investigate international business principles and strategic management approaches.
This program is ideal if you:
currently work in a global corporation, development organization, or international NGO and seek to enhance your expertise for leadership positions
hold a degree in business or environmental studies and want to strengthen your professional capabilities for management or policy roles in international business
Throughout your studies, you'll analyze how home country institutional environments influence corporate strategies, and how these strategies affect and interact with host nations. You'll tackle an actual consultancy project centered on a business challenge, applying your knowledge along with practical and interpersonal abilities to develop and implement solutions. The program aims to cultivate capable, well-informed, and ethical managers equipped to handle worldwide issues.
You'll study at the University of Sussex Business School, part of the United Nations Global Compact network dedicated to fostering a sustainable and equitable global economy. We adhere to the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), integrating social responsibility and sustainability into our curriculum and research. This program is offered collaboratively by the University of Sussex Business School and the School of Global Studies.
