Your research journey will conclude with an approximately 80,000-word dissertation. You have the flexibility to work with multiple supervisors, including the option for cross-departmental supervision when your project requires it. The program allows you to attend postgraduate courses in Philosophy and related disciplines. Starting from your second year, teaching opportunities may become available. You can pursue either a PhD or MPhil degree, with key differences in duration and research scope. A PhD requires making significant original contributions to your field, while an MPhil involves independent research at a more foundational level, culminating in a Master of Philosophy degree. The program offers potential to transition from MPhil to PhD during your studies.
