We examine the diverse political and ethical perspectives on childhood and youth that shape current policies and approaches.
You'll discover innovative methods for understanding and engaging with children and adolescents. Throughout the program, you'll develop the ability to:
collaborate effectively with professionals in child and youth services
conduct field research involving young populations
apply your analytical, writing, and professional skills in practical settings.
The curriculum offers interdisciplinary studies spanning anthropology, global development and children's rights, sociology, gender studies, sexual health, psychology, media studies, and social work.

You should normally have a lower second-class (2.2) undergraduate honours degree or above, or be able to demonstrate the ability to study at the appropriate level.
Subject-specific requirements
Your undergraduate degree can be in any subject. Other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis, and in certain circumstances you may be accepted on to the course if you can demonstrate the ability to study at the appropriate level. You may be accepted on to the course if you have equivalent professional qualifications and/or professional experience. We particularly welcome applications from mature applicants who demonstrate academic potential, enthusiasm and commitment to study.
IELTS (Academic) - High level (6.5 overall, including at least 6.0 in each component).
TOEFL (iBT) - 88 overall, including at least 20 in Listening, 19 in Reading, 21 in Speaking, 23 in Writing.
