Would you like to gain insight into the worldwide challenges we currently face? This program will equip you with the expertise and perspective needed to become a globally aware citizen with a critical outlook.

The curriculum integrates two distinct yet interconnected approaches to examining global developments:

Through International Relations studies, you'll examine worldwide systems by investigating their historical context, the global economic framework, with special emphasis on warfare and security issues
Through History studies, you'll concentrate on worldwide historical narratives, exploring how different global regions interconnect via the exchange of people, commodities, and concepts through commerce, shared cultural influences, population movements, and military confrontations.
Sussex has been at the forefront of historical research in international relations and innovative historical methodologies, making it the perfect environment for you to investigate current global concerns.
