The MSc in Sex, Gender, and Sexualities is a groundbreaking interdisciplinary program designed to immerse students in research-driven education. Our university boasts extensive expertise in gender, sex, and sexuality studies across various faculties and departments.
This program leverages our existing academic strengths, drawing faculty from Sociology, Literature and Languages, and Psychology. Students will enjoy a genuinely cross-disciplinary experience with flexible module selection and dissertation topics. The curriculum has been thoughtfully crafted to incorporate the university's wide-ranging research and teaching expertise in these fields, resulting in a dynamic and original program. Key objectives include: Creating an inclusive, nurturing academic space for interdisciplinary exploration of sex, gender, and sexuality Cultivating both strong cohort bonds and educational flexibility Equipping graduates with advanced critical thinking, analytical abilities, and specialized knowledge in these areas.
The program begins with three required modules in Semester 1. Students can choose between social science or humanities methodological approaches, with guidance to align with their dissertation plans. Semester 2 continues with dissertation work alongside two core modules and a selection from six optional courses.
