But under what circumstances is such involvement warranted, and how can it achieve optimal results? Based in our Centre for International Intervention, the International Relations (International Intervention) MSc program leverages our faculty's extensive background in diplomacy and humanitarian work. Through crisis management exercises and negotiation simulations, you'll practice addressing the complex dilemmas posed by intervention scenarios. Featuring an optional Professional Training placement, this International Intervention track prepares you to navigate the moral, judicial, and political complexities of global involvement.
Your coursework will include cutting-edge studies on international intervention and post-conflict recovery, uniquely delivered through collaborations between seasoned professionals and academic specialists from the Centre for International Intervention. The International Interventions pathway encourages rigorous examination of intervention dynamics, employing seminar discussions and simulation exercises to explore topics like national sovereignty, fundamental freedoms, and the duty to safeguard populations from mass violence. This master's program additionally provides a Professional Training placement option, giving you three months to acquire valuable sector-specific skills that will substantially boost your career prospects after completing your studies.
