This three-year program evenly balances academic learning with hands-on training across various practice fields. Developed in partnership with the South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust and aligned with the College of Paramedics' educational standards, this course prepares you to address the varied needs of patients, families, and caregivers in diverse environments. Your first year covers core paramedic science topics such as care principles, fundamental paramedic skills, physical health, and evidence-based research, establishing a strong base for your degree. In year two, you'll explore lifespan care, physical and mental health management, patient evaluation, along with leadership and innovation. Half of your training involves clinical placements where you'll apply your skills in real healthcare settings under expert supervision. Instruction comes from a multidisciplinary team of NHS-experienced healthcare professionals. Upon graduation, you'll meet the academic criteria to register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and qualify as a paramedic.
