In this program, you'll develop skills to prevent and manage illnesses as a certified dietitian, addressing the varied needs of patients, families, and caregivers across different healthcare environments. You'll explore how diseases can modify nutritional needs and food consumption, while learning to convert scientific nutrition knowledge into actionable dietary guidance. This guidance may focus on promoting wellness among the general population or addressing medical conditions in clinical settings. During your initial two years, you'll cover diverse subjects to establish a strong academic foundation. Your first NHS clinical placement occurs after year one. Gain hands-on experience through three integrated NHS placements, working alongside licensed dietitians. Benefit from instruction by faculty recognized with the Queen's Anniversary Prize 2017-18 for their outstanding contributions to food and nutrition research.
