Our BEng and MEng programs are designed in collaboration with industry partners. You'll develop both technical expertise and analytical thinking to tackle practical engineering challenges, equipping you for rewarding careers in oil and gas, petrochemicals, or energy sectors. This program offers hands-on experience with the entire chemical engineering workflow: our £1.7 million facility features a fully functional pilot plant that you'll utilize throughout your studies and operate collaboratively in your third year. Additionally, you can participate in our acclaimed Professional Training placements, designed to prepare students for industrial roles.

Both our BEng and MEng degrees address contemporary industry challenges. They integrate fundamental chemical engineering principles with interdisciplinary design projects, specialized petrochemical coursework, and sustainability studies. You'll learn from award-winning faculty and seasoned industry professionals, building a comprehensive knowledge foundation applicable to diverse career paths in the global energy industry. Applicants can choose between the BEng or MEng track. The MEng program extends the BEng with a master's year, providing a direct pathway to chartered engineer status. MEng students may collaborate on cross-disciplinary projects with peers from other engineering disciplines.
