The PGCE Secondary Religious Education (11-16) with QTS prepares you to teach RE in secondary schools across England and Wales.
This intensive one-year program combines academic study with hands-on teaching practice. You'll gain experience through placements in diverse school environments, developing a comprehensive perspective on secondary education.

Beyond mastering dynamic teaching methods, the course equips you to deliver RE content aligned with National Curriculum standards and GCSE/A-Level requirements. Qualification Requirements

a 3 year (4 year for Engineering) graduation degree from an AICTE / UGC recognised University, 57% - 60% from a recognised university.

You will usually need to hold a 2:2 (or above) honours degree from a UK Higher Education institution or an equivalent qualification and be deemed suitable to train to teach by the School of Education at the University of Sunderland. If English is not your first language, you will also need International English Language Testing System (IELTS) at a score of 6.5, with at least 6.5 in writing, and no section below 6.0.
