The PGCE Science with Chemistry Secondary Education program certifies you to teach chemistry at the secondary level in all state-funded schools across England and Wales. This intensive one-year PGCE Chemistry course combines academic learning with hands-on teaching practice under expert supervision. You'll complete placements in diverse school environments to develop a comprehensive understanding of secondary education.

Qualification Requirements

a 3 year (4 year for Engineering) graduation degree from an AICTE / UGC recognised University, 57% - 60% from a recognised university.
You will usually need a 2:2 (or above) honours degree from a UK Higher Education institution or an equivalent qualification and be deemed suitable to train to teach by the School of Education at the University of Sunderland.

If English is not your first language, you will also need International English Language Testing System (IELTS) at a score of 6.5, with at least 6.5 in writing, and no section below 6.0.
