This Inequality and Society course takes a theoretical and research-focused approach to analyzing the root causes of global inequalities. Students will investigate intersectionality, studying how gender, sexuality, ethnicity, age, and other factors combine to create distinct disadvantages for various groups. Participants will enhance their research skills while developing practical approaches to address systemic inequities and promote social justice.

Students can choose from diverse optional modules that delve deeper into inequality, covering subjects like gender studies, social justice movements, health disparities, LGBTQ+ identities, media representation, childhood inequities, and economic divides. The program emphasizes an international perspective, examining these issues through both national and global frameworks.
