Nestled in Glasgow's vibrant City Centre, we provide specialized expertise across multiple disciplines including civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical, and electrical engineering, alongside geosciences, material science, physics, chemistry, and microbiology. Our dynamic postgraduate research community comprises over 90 students from diverse backgrounds. We deliver training in an international environment while maintaining strong industry and government partnerships to ensure cutting-edge research that addresses real-world challenges. Our globally recognized research includes collaborative projects with international institutions. Postgraduate research degrees are available as three-year PhD programs, supported by funding from research councils, the Scottish Government, and industry partners. Students can pursue these degrees in any of our key research areas: Ground Engineering & Engineering Geosciences, Water, Environment, Sustainability & Public Health, and Intelligent Infrastructure.
We look for a first-class or upper second-class UK Honours degree, or overseas equivalent, in a relevant  discipline, from a recognised educational institution.
IELTS (Academic): 6.5 overall (no individual band less than 5.5)
TOEFL (ibt): 80 overall, with the following minimum scores in each component: Listening: 17 Reading: 18 Speaking: 20 Writing: 18.
