Quantum computing and simulation seeks to revolutionize computational methods in various scientific and industrial fields. Our team conducts world-class research to create quantum algorithms for practical applications, while spearheading national initiatives connected to regional and national high-performance computing resources. We collaborate with Strathclyde's experimental efforts to construct next-gen neutral atom quantum computers and simulators, developed through an EPSRC Prosperity Partnership with M Squared Lasers. This program equips you with the expertise to engage in the second quantum revolution, harnessing quantum properties to enable innovative functionalities for both industrial products and advanced research. You'll gain theoretical and hands-on experience in quantum physics fundamentals and their implementation in quantum technologies. This knowledge will be applied through a state-of-the-art research project—whether experimental, theoretical, or computational—within our department's extensive quantum technology research spectrum. The program prepares graduates for advanced academic pursuits or industrial research and development in quantum technologies.
