The MSc in Business Analysis & Consulting is designed to provide you with practical, analytical, and evaluative capabilities, preparing you as a future manager or consultant to shape organizational strategy and performance. You'll master essential quantitative business analysis techniques for assessing performance. Industry engagement forms the core of this program, with multiple external client interactions during experiential learning classes and the option to complete your summer project with an external partner. Additionally, you'll gain expertise in applying business models to guide organizational strategy development and track strategic initiatives. Upon completion, you'll possess critical business consulting skills applicable across all sectors.
Program highlights
The foundational Becoming an Effective Business Analyst course spans both semesters, offering a hands-on setting to implement analysis and consulting tools on real-world challenges presented by industry partners. Semester 1 establishes fundamental technical and interpersonal competencies for business analysts, covering problem structuring, data analysis, forecasting models, and operations management. Semester 2 builds on these core skills while offering specialized electives in risk analysis, strategic modeling, big data analytics, and business simulation. You may also enroll in business courses from other Strathclyde Business School departments during Spring School.

Minimum second-class Honours degree, or overseas equivalent in business, economics, engineering or the social sciences. Applications from those with other degrees are also encouraged.
English language requirements:
IELTS (Academic): 6.5 overall (no individual band less than 5.5)
TOEFL (IBT): 80 overall, with the following minimum scores in each component: Listening: 17 Reading: 18 Speaking: 20 Writing: 18.
