This two-year program offers a comprehensive exploration of architecture through both theoretical studies and hands-on practice. The curriculum challenges students with rigorous design requirements while encouraging independent project development aligned with personal interests. You'll evaluate contemporary architectural and urban design theories, applying them to both existing and proposed scenarios while honing technical and formal architectural skills. Successful completion with full diploma credits allows progression to a Master's degree (MArch) with just three additional months of study. Designed for UK/EU architecture graduates pursuing Part 2 qualification, the PGDip in Advanced Architectural Design offers flexible durations: 21 months full-time for the diploma, or 12 months for Year 2 MArch students (with 9 months for PGDip).Professional Recognition:
Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) validated (Part 2).
Architect's Registration Board (ARB) accredited for professional registration eligibility.

Qualification Requirements

Normally, a first-class or second-class honours degree in Architecture would be required.

If you hold overseas qualifications obtained outside the EU or hold a non-recognised UK qualification you will need to pass ARB's Examination for Equivalence to Prescribed Qualifications (also known as the Prescribed Examination) to obtain ARB Part 1 and progress towards registering as an architect in the UK.

An academic portfolio will be required containing all relevant design work from your previous course of study to provide a broad range of work to evidence your depth of skillset. While work from practice placement or experience can be included, the balance of the portfolio should be towards examples of academic work

IELTS - 6.5 overall (no individual band less than 5.5)
TOEFL ibt - 80 overall, with the following minimum scores in each component-(Listening- 17, Reading- 18, Speaking- 20, Writing- 18)
