This course equips law graduates and professionals from related fields with in-depth knowledge of human rights legislation across UK, European, and global contexts, while examining its societal influence.A unique program highlight includes the competitive option to complete a field-based dissertation for academic credit.Students can engage with and enhance the research of Scotland's exclusive Centre for the Study of Human Rights Law.The program offers three completion levels: Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma, and Masters. With satisfactory progress, students can adjust their academic path—beginning with a Certificate and advancing to higher qualifications, or transitioning from Masters to Certificate or Diploma studies as needed.

Qualification Requirements

Students need a first or upper second-class Honours degree in a related discipline. Entry may be possible with a lower second-class Honours degree, if you also have suitable professional qualifications and/or considerable appropriate experience. Please note: a Law degree is not a prerequisite for entry to this course. Our current standard requirements are 6.5 overall (no individual band less than 5.5).
