With an international perspective extending beyond the UK and Scotland, the course attracts students from diverse backgrounds. The curriculum promotes creative and equitable solutions to criminal issues, ranging from street-level offenses to corporate crimes, transnational violations, emerging cybercrimes, and substance abuse challenges. A key focus is developing critical skills in research methodology, including data analysis, study design, and socio-legal investigation techniques. Students examine criminal justice systems, societal influences on crime, various criminological theories, and practical applications throughout their studies.
