During your education, you'll utilize our state-of-the-art £11.5 million Cadman Studios facility. These professional-grade resources feature five fully outfitted recording spaces complete with surround sound systems and mixing consoles from leading brands like SSL, Avid, Audient, and API. Additionally, our Avid-certified instructors provide affordable pathways to earn Pro Tools certifications. The curriculum begins with foundational studio techniques and technical skills, progressing to session planning and digital audio workstation (DAW) operation for recording, editing, and production.
Modern soundtracks incorporate multiple audio elements including spoken dialogue, environmental sounds, special effects, Foley artistry, and musical compositions.
The Sound Design specialization encompasses all soundtrack components - from dialogue and ambient noise to effects, Foley work, and musical scoring. You'll develop industry knowledge about film production workflows while mastering audio creation, recording, editing, mixing, and mastering techniques using professional-grade equipment and software.
