Acquire essential clinical expertise and emergency response techniques to provide critical patient care in challenging pre-hospital settings. Aligned with the College of Paramedics' Curriculum Guidance, this program covers vital aspects of physical sciences, life sciences, social health, behavioral studies, clinical practice, legal ethics, leadership, and evidence-based research. Your university experience will take place at our Center for Health Innovation, where you'll study Paramedic Science theory and refine your abilities in specialized training facilities. Upon graduation, you'll receive the following qualification: BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science. The curriculum integrates fundamental components of physical and life sciences, social health, behavioral and clinical studies, ethical legal frameworks, leadership, and research-driven methodologies. At our Center for Health Innovation, you'll master theoretical concepts while developing practical skills in purpose-built training laboratories.
Instruction is provided by seasoned paramedics and healthcare specialists, exposing you to realistic emergency situations and training you to operate various pre-hospital medical equipment.
You'll perfect your techniques using our fully equipped practice ambulance and realistic residential training environment. Additional training often includes casualty rescue drills at Staffordshire Fire Service Headquarters (where you'll practice triage and treatment alongside firefighter and police trainees) and immersive scenario-based learning in our Center of Health Innovation's simulation spaces.
Career Opportunities
