The program explores three core animation techniques—motion capture, hand-keyed animation, and technical animation—while allowing you to focus on your preferred specialization. You'll develop 3D character models, animate them using biomechanics, and outfit them with accessories like weapons and vehicles. From crafting desert landscapes to futuristic spaceships, you'll also gain expertise in designing immersive game environments.
To ensure your animated models function properly in game engines, you'll also learn essential game design principles and programming fundamentals.
As the UK's largest games department, we maintain strong industry ties with leading studios like Flix Interactive, Sumo Digital, Cloud Imperium Games, and animation specialists Carse and Waterman. This network helps you graduate with valuable connections and a standout portfolio.
