Artificial Intelligence (AI) serves as the catalyst for groundbreaking innovations across numerous fields. Whether it's autonomous vehicles, smartphone apps, medical diagnostics, or fraud prevention, AI's presence is now universal. The UK Government has also embraced AI as a key component of its long-term strategy, influencing progress in multiple industries. Our BSc (Hons) Artificial Intelligence program is carefully designed to provide both theoretical knowledge and practical expertise, preparing you to thrive in this fast-growing field. You'll engage in hands-on projects, gain real-world experience, and work with industry-standard platforms. As part of the curriculum, you can earn certifications in AWS and Microsoft Azure, giving you valuable, recognized qualifications. We also provide exceptional work placement options with local, national, and international organizations, including the chance to spend a year in industry before graduation, applying AI to enhance services and products. The course delivers thorough knowledge of AI concepts and their real-world implementation, with modules focusing on key areas like machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, and natural language processing (NLP).
During the first year, students build core AI knowledge. This includes mastering Python programming and algorithm design, while studying data structures, problem-solving techniques, and software validation. You'll also work on Windows applications using C and interact with AI assistants such as Pepper, Alexa, or Siri.
