With our strong emphasis on career readiness, you'll craft an impressive professional portfolio. You'll gain exposure through prestigious competitions like the RTS Awards and British Animation Awards, public screenings, studio visits, and gallery tours. We also collaborate with animation festivals to showcase student work.
The first year introduces diverse animation methods, from 2D and 3D digital to stop motion, motion capture, and emerging hybrid techniques. As you advance, you can focus on your preferred specialization.
Fundamental drawing abilities, crucial in the animation industry, receive significant attention. Through extensive observational drawing, you'll master concepts like perspective, composition, and movement. The curriculum also includes character development from clay modeling to digital creation.

GCE A Levels - grades BBC or equivalent
Pearson BTEC National Extended Diploma - grade DMM
Access to HE Diploma - Pass Access with a minimum of 80 UCAS tariff points. Applicants to Staffs who are taking the Access to HE Diploma receive a reduced tariff point offer as part of our access and participation plan activity
UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma - grade of Merit overall
OCR Cambridge Technical Extended Diploma - grade DMM
T Levels - Eligible T Level applications will be asked to achieve a minimum overall grade of P (A*-C) or Higher Pass as a condition of offer

IELTS Academic - 6.0 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each component
