In today's interconnected world, proficiency in foreign languages and cultural understanding stands as essential skills. University-level language studies enable learners to engage with diverse peoples, traditions, and historical contexts through their native tongues. Such study also allows for broader perspectives on one's own linguistic and cultural background. Within the School of Modern Languages, students learn from specialists across seven language disciplines and Comparative Literature, with faculty research spanning medieval to contemporary studies on diverse subjects.
